Lancashire Artist - Joy Cockle

Joy Cockle is a is a talented artist and freelance illustrator who runs the creARTivity studio at Backridge Farm, near Waddington.

 

Joy, who studied art at the Bath Academy, specialises in building portraiture and is also a superb painter of murals. She spends hours producing the pen-and-ink drawing that depicts people and buildings in minute detail. The High Sheriff of Lancashire, Peter Robinson, said: "We are delighted to have such a talented local artist within our community."

 

Joy Cockle welcomes commissions of all types and always welcomes visitors to her studio at Backridge Farm. Come and talk to Joy about your ideas and requirements, view her work and browse the selection of specially selected 'arty' gift ideas including 'art you can eat' and limited edition greeting cards and prints; always changing, always different! Artist Joy also offers you the opportunity to commission uniquely designed wedding stationery created using a hand drawn, pen and ink image of your choice, perhaps your wedding venue, the church or even your wedding cake. The chocolate cards are available in milk, plain or white chocolate varieties in several designs, two featuring Joy’s signature Jester and the other a birthday cake design. These are the first truly illustrated chocolate birthday cards and are only available at Backridge Farm or from this website.
